Working with video in Keynote for iPad
How to add video to your Keynote for iPad presentation
The iPad is hands down one of the most impressive table devices for delivering stunning jaw-dropping mobile presentations. We all have experienced the "Keynote for iPad effect" when delivering a presentation to a small or large group from our iPad. So how do we take it up a notch for the next presentation? How about adding video to your Keynote for iPad presentation?

There is one caveat to adding video, you must sync your video with iTunes and subsequently with your iPad in order to complete the process. Any video recorded on your iPhone or iPad 2 is compatible and can be easily synced with your iPad and imported into from your library.
Adding video to your slide can be easy (kinda sorta). Check out the steps we outlined below to help "knock the socks off" your next captive audience. We use a photo transfer app to move video from our iPhone to our iPad however, if you recorded and edited the video on your iPhone or iPad that's one less step.
Part 1: Importing the video to your iPad
The video must be compatible with the iPad in order to sync. A list of acceptable video formats is listed here. If you video format is not listed you will need to convert it to an acceptable format.
Part 2: Importing the video to your Keynote for iPad slide
- Tap the Media icon at the top-right of the display (a square with a mountain and moon inside)
-
When the Photo Albums page opens, tap "Media".
-
Tap the Photo album that contains your video.
-
Tap the video thumbnail you want. The video icons have a small movie camera and time indicator at the bottom of the video clip
-
Finally, tap "Use". Keynote for iPad will compress and format the video for final use in your iPad presentation. The video and its audio track will play automatically when the slide is played by tapping the play icon.
